Urban Legend

Just a quick note in regard to a vicious rumor that has been spread as truth by lay and medical people alike. There is the mistaken perception that breast implants have to be exchanged after 10 years. Nothing can be further from the truth. If there is nothing wrong with the implants they never have to be touched. 80% of patients never need more surgery after their first procedure. This is one urban legend that serves no worthwhile purpose.

I had breast implants for the past 32 years. I have also heard this rumor and was concerned. The only problem I have with these implants is that they are too hard. I have lived with this for about 30 years now. I can't sleep on my stomach unless I fold my arms up to make space for my breasts. The up side is that at 65 yrs. old I am still pretty perky.lol
