You're Gonna Do the Surgery ?
I am always surprised by the number of people that ask me if I am the one who will perform the procedure that they came into my office to discuss. These potential patients come from all walks of life and all social, economic, and educational backgrounds. The answer is YES, I will consult you on the procedure and perform the surgery, as shocking as that sounds. I suppose that people need to be reassured and in itself is a form of a compliment.

I had to suffer with it, why can't you?
I cannot possibly count the number of times that I have heard my patients exclaim in a moment of guilt-ridden revelation: "My mother told me she had it all her life and I should be able to handle it too." Well there are many proven surgical and medical treatments and why should we not take advantage of them and improve our lives. You no longer have to suffer with spider veins, facial acne, heavy breasts, folds of skin rashes, baldness, deformed noses, etc. just because the previous generation did. We no longer wash our clothes by the river, cook over open fires, and send drum messages. Its OK to improve our selves and our lives. Every generation has.
